Matt focuses on litigation, both civil and criminal, with primary practice areas in domestic relations and criminal defense. He represents clients in an array of matters before the family and probate court including actions for divorce, custody, and support proceedings. He regularly defends clients facing criminal complaints in the district courts and has practiced in a number of superior court matters, including multiple homicide trials.
Matt received his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, where he received the David Knapp Scholarship for Excellence in Political Science. He is a graduate of Boston College Law School, where he was a member of the National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Team and Vice-President of the Litigation and Advocacy Society.
During law school, he worked for a small but vibrant non-profit advocating on behalf of the homeless and victims of domestic violence. He later interned in the Trial Division at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
